First off, the Billmeyer family would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of our supporters over the last 8 years! Losing our Father and Grandfather Don to cancer in 2005 and 6 months later losing our Mother and Grandmother Audrey was very difficult. We as a family, decided to take a proactive approach in raising money for cancer patients and cancer research. In 2005 we held our first Billmeyer Memorial Golf Tournament at Silvermine Golf Course in Norwalk, CT. The event was a huge success and we knew that we couldn't stop there. Here we are getting ready for our 8th tournament and going strong. As the event grew we had to move to a larger facility. We now host the tournament at Oak Hills Golf Course in Norwalk, CT. 

 

Don and Audrey were both patients at the Whittingham Cancer Center located at Norwalk Hospital. The staff was so kind and supportive to not only Don and Audrey, but also every patient and family that walks through their doors. That is why we decided to donate our proceeds to this fine facility. As the tournament grew we decided to add a second cause to donate too as well which is Yale New Haven's DISCOVERY TO CURE PROGRAM. This center is geared toward finding a cure for Female Reproductive Cancers. The Doctors and staff are some of the most dedicated people you will ever meet. They are making great strides everyday to find a cure for these Cancers.
